Kaupo Koppel
Expert of the Foresight CentreKaupo has been involved mainly in research areas related to social protection, poverty and economics. He has participated in many applied research projects as an analyst, methodologist and project manager. Earlier, he was a member of the COVID-19 coordination team at the Government Office, an expert at the international consulting firm Civitta and a senior analyst at the Praxis think tank. Kaupo has a MSc in Mathematical Economics from the University of Tartu.

A recent short report by the Foresight Centre shows that in the coming years, there will be an increasing need to involve foreign workforce in the Estonian healthcare system. Also, the proportion of healthcare workers who work in the private sector and in multiple jobs keeps growing, which in turn reduces the national healthcare system’s capacity and increases patient waiting times.
