Magnus Piirits
Former Expert of the Foresight CentreMagnus is a doctoral student of Economics at the University of Tartu. He has worked as an analyst in Praxis think tank where his research mainly concerned social protection. More specifically, he focused on pension research both in Estonia and in Europe, using quantitative analysis methods. His doctoral thesis examines the impact of pension system reforms in Estonia on inequality by applying the microsimulation method. He is also a European Social Policy Network expert on pensions in Estonia. In addition to social protection, he has also contributed to developing the tax-benefit model (EUROMOD).
